On Saturday, officers were called to a path near Rookwood Golf Course in Robin Hood Lane, Horsham, at around 11.40am by a member of the public assisting a woman in distress. The woman, who is in her 20s, reported being sexually assaulted by a man at around 11.30am while she was walking her dogs. A casualty on the tracks was reported at Stone Crossing station just before 12.40am yesterday (April 6).  Officers and South East Coast Ambulance crews attended, however, the person was pronounced dead.  The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
