On Monday, Councillor Nick Bennett, East Sussex County Council’s lead member for resources and climate change, agreed to sell council-owned land associated with the North Street Quarter (NSQ) development in Lewes. The full NSQ scheme, from development company Human Nature, involves plans to build 685 homes, as well as employment space and flood defences. It secured planning permission last year, subject to conditions and legal agreements.
