Adam Reid, from Bexhill, has been charged with 19 counts of fraud by false representation and one count of fraudulent trading. The Sussex Police investigation relates to fraud against 19 victims between November 2022 and February 2025. The force said people in Hastings and Rother lost nearly £30,000. Reid, of Dorset Road, was arrested in October last year for further investigation and was again arrested on April 3 following additional allegations. Brighton and Hove has a higher than national average suicide rate and members of Brighton and Hove City Council’s health and wellbeing board were receiving an update on a Suicide Prevention Action Plan 2024-2027.
