The thunderstorm warning from the Met Office will be in place from 9pm tomorrow (July 18) until 6pm on Saturday (July 19). Torrential rain and thunder are expected to reach the South during Friday evening. Frequent lightning, gusty winds, and large hail are also likely. Stephen Ward, CLC’s head of strategy and external relations Confidence in the property market amongst conveyancers has fallen in the wake of spring’s stamp duty hike, according to new research from the Council for Licensed Conveyancers (CLC). Analysis of the third quarterly CLC Confidence Tracker shows that 65% feel confident in the stability of the current market. It is down from 72% when the same question was asked three months ago. Senior figures from across the industry have responded to Zoopla’s latest research, published today, that reports that one million UK homes having seen a value increase of 50% or more over the past five years, with an average increase of £117,400. Over half of these homes are in the North West, Yorkshire and the Humber, and Wales with average value increases of £77,100, £86,200 and £90,700 respectively.
