Meta reported record quarterly profits last week – revenue was up 33% to $56.3 billion, EPS came in at $10.44 and by any conventional measure it was a strong quarter. Its stock dropped over 6% after hours anyway. The reason was not the profits – it was the spending. Meta raised its full-year capital expenditure guidance to between $125 billion and $145 billion, up from its previous range of $115 to $135 billion.
