BlackRock has revised its spot Bitcoin (BTC) exchange-traded fund (ETF) application to make it easier for Wall Street banks to participate by creating new shares in the fund with cash, rather than just crypto. The new in-kind redemption “prepay” model, will allow banking giants such as JPMorgan or Goldman Sachs to act as authorized participants for the fund — allowing them to circumvent restrictions that prevent them from holding Bitcoin or crypto directly on their balance sheets. The FCC has made a final denial of Starlink’s application for $885 million in public funds to expand its orbital communications infrastructure to cover parts of rural America, saying the company “failed to demonstrate that it could deliver the promised service.” As previously reported, the money in question was part of the Rural Digital Opportunity Fund, a multibillion-dollar program to subsidize the rollout of internet service in places where private companies have previously decided it’s too expensive or distant to do so. Binance says it has agreed to a robust monitorship for its compliance and sanctions control programs. Popular crypto exchange Binance has revealed that it has made significant progress with regulators. Now at 1,000 days on Mars, the mission has traversed an ancient river and lake system, collecting valuable samples along the way. Marking its 1,000th Martian day on the Red Planet, NASA’s Perseverance rover recently completed its exploration of the ancient river delta that holds evidence of a lake that filled Jezero Crater billions of years ago.
