It appeared to include an oversized opal gemstone with a halo of dark gemstones on the exterior. After the photo made its way around social media, Taylor’s fans, who lovingly refer…
Google will soon allow users to store their location data on their devices rather than on Google’s servers, effectively ending a long-running surveillance practice that allowed police and law enforcement to tap Google’s vast banks of location data to identify potential criminals. The use of so-called “geofence warrants” have exploded in recent years, in large part thanks to the ubiquity of smartphones coupled with hungry data companies like Google vacuuming up and storing huge amounts of its users’ location data, which becomes obtainable by law enforcement requests. Police can use geofence warrants (also known as reverse-location warrants) to demand that…

Organisers Stop the War Coalition listed 57 separate pro-Palestinian events across UK on Saturday, including assemblies and candlelit vigils. In north London, about 100 pro-Palestinian demonstrators gathered in Camden to call for a ceasefire, with some shouting “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free”. Protesters outside the house of the Israeli ambassador to the UK criticised the Israel Defence Forces’ killing of three Israeli hostages taken in the Hamas October 7 attack. One man told the crowd:…
The popular show’s ending comes as a BBC spokesperson said that “inflation and funding challenges” forced them to put the quiz on hold, sharing: “Due to inflation and funding challenges, difficult decisions have to be made, therefore Question of Sport is currently not in production at the moment.” The BBC also cited “value for money” for BBC licence fee payers, which has seen the network reshuffle its squad of shows to prioritise high-impact content that drives viewers to BBC iPlayer. Despite production for A Question of Sport being stopped by the BBC, the broadcaster insisted that it is “not the…

But last year, Solana developers got a potentially life-changing bonus when they were airdropped 25 billion BONK tokens each. Now, a year later, these developers could find themselves making quite a profit after the value of BONK has skyrocketed. BONK to the Moon BONK is a meme token in the same vein as Dogecoin and…
In a landmark study led by the University of Maryland School of Medicine, researchers discovered for the first time that a certain kind of protein similar to hemoglobin, called cytoglobin, plays an important role in the development of the heart. Specifically, it affects the correct left-right pattern of the heart and other asymmetric organs. The findings, published today in the journal Nature Communications, could eventually lead to the development of new therapeutic interventions to alter the processes that lead to these defects. The team used CRISPR gene editing technologies to knock out the cytoglobin gene in zebrafish. The lack of…
