The Met Office has issued a yellow wind warning for the entire Sussex coast between 3am and 6pm on Wednesday (December 27). Officials are warning there will likely be delays to road, rail, air and ferry journeys and coastal areas could be battered with large waves and sea spray. People who will be driving high-sided vehicles are being told to take extra care when on routes exposed to winds and on bridges. A recent U.S. ban on Apple Watch imports will remain in place, after the Biden administration declined to veto an earlier ruling by the International Trade Commission. The ITC ruling goes into effect today. Scientists led by Duke-NUS Medical School in Singapore and the University of California, Los Angeles, (UCLA) in the United States have discovered a new control mechanism that can drive the maturation of human stem cell-derived heart muscle cells, providing fresh insight into the maturation process of heart muscle cells from fetal to adult form.
