The Metropolitan Police began an investigation after being passed information on Friday by the Daily Express. Activists from the Palestine Action group were allegedly plotting to “target” the London Stock Exchange on the morning of January 15, causing damage and “locking on” to prevent the building from opening for trading, Scotland Yard said. LG Electronics has opened its first electric vehicle (EV) charger facility outside of South Korea — in Fort Worth, Texas — to capture a share of North America’s competitive EV charging market.  Its new EV charging station factory, spanning 59,202 square feet, has the capacity to produce more than 10,000 chargers per year, LG said in the company’s statement Monday. LG has started manufacturing 11-kilowatt EV chargers in Texas. University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust said both the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton and Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath were affected by problems with IT and phone systems last night. Ambulances are being diverted and patients are being taken to different hospitals. The trust said St Richard’s Hospital in Chichester and Worthing Hospital are also under “considerable pressure” while they help support the Royal Sussex and Princess Royal.
