Police in London are investigating a suspected arson attack at the office of Conservative MP Mike Freer. Officers were called to a fire at the north London constituency office at about 7pm on Christmas Eve, with the London Fire Brigade also on the scene. The Met Police said the fire happened in a shed at the MP’s office at Ballards Lane in Finchley. The Finchley and Golders Green MP has represented the constituency since 2010 and is parliamentary under-secretary at the Ministry of Justice. Emergency services rushed to the Gallowgate at approximately 7.10pm after three vehicles collided. The road was closed in both directions, as was Bellgrove Street and Abercromby Street at the junction. The area fully reopened at around 11.20pm. Police Scotland confirmed they had been called to a crash, but no details on injuries or arrests were given at this time. A spokesperson said: “Around 7.10pm on Monday, December 25, 2023, police were called to a three-car road crash on the Gallowgate near to Abercromby Street, Glasgow.  “Enquiries are continuing.” We will provide more on this as we have it.
