Research shared by the UK data centre operator Pulsant shows that organisations running artificial intelligence systems are facing mounting pressure over where those systems are hosted. Banks, hospitals and manufacturers all report higher costs and heavier infrastructure demands as AI use grows. Jeff Bezos’ space company Blue Origin has just announced a satellite internet network called TeraWave which will be capable of offering data speeds up to 6Tbps, and geared towards enterprise, data center, and government customers. The TeraWave constellation will use a mix of 5,280 satellites in low-Earth orbit and 128 in medium-Earth orbit, and Blue Origin plans to deploy the first ones in late 2027. Ryan Pike showed up at Lady Beauty on Argyle Street in Glasgow around 11.15am on February 4, 2025 and approached workers. Maryam Shorolahi and Parvin Shafahati were both working at the city centre store.
