Michael Crum tried to kill his wife at their home in Seven Sisters Road, Eastbourne, on November 17, 2022. The 75-year-old was sentenced to a section 37 hospital order at Lewes Crown Court yesterday by Judge Christine Laing. Judge Laing also put on a section 41 restriction under the Mental Health Act which means the Ministry of Justice must agree before Crum is discharged or granted leave from hospital.
