Commercial EV startup Arrival’s business continues to unravel. Arrival announced Monday in a regulatory filing that its U.K. division is entering administration, the country’s version of bankruptcy. The troubled company, which went public in 2021 via a merger with a special purpose acquisition company, said it’s looking to sell its U.K. assets and intellectual property in order to pay back the lenders that helped it stay afloat. Properties across the city and beyond have been targeted in different incidents between November 20, 2023 and February 3, 2024. The thieves have hit homes in Robroyston, Maryhill, Bearsden, Bishopbriggs, Hogganfield, Garthamlock, Kelvindale, Jordanhill, Govanhill, Nitshill, Newton Mearns and Darnley. Weaveworks, a startup focusing on cloud native development tooling, announced today on LinkedIn that it would be shutting down, a sad day for any startup. “I am very sad to announce – officially – that Weaveworks will be closing its doors and shutting down commercial operations.
