Indoor tanning drastically increases melanoma risk, and scientists have now mapped the sweeping DNA damage tanning beds inflict across nearly the entire skin surface — damage far beyond what sunlight causes. Researchers examined thousands of medical records to compare melanoma rates in people who used tanning beds and those who did not, then performed genomic analysis on 182 skin biopsies from both groups to track mutation patterns. People who used tanning beds showed nearly twice as many DNA mutations as individuals in the control group. These mutations were found not only on commonly exposed skin, but also in body areas…
Class Fundraising vs School Fundraising – Why More PTAs Are Making the Switch If you’ve used Class Fundraising for your school’s Christmas card or tea towel projects, you’re probably familiar with their fixed fundraising model. It’s a recognisable name, and the process is well established. But there’s one thing that many PTAs are finding increasingly limiting: You don’t control how much profit you make. That’s why more schools are switching to School Fundraising—a fresh alternative that puts PTAs in control of pricing, and ultimately, profit. Fixed Prices vs Flexible Profit With Class Fundraising, prices are fixed. The amount your PTA…
A lot of people want to lose fat without joining a gym, and I completely understand that. Calisthenics makes this much easier than most people realise. It’s basically body-weight training – push-ups, squats, lunges, planks, burpees and all the simple moves you’ve probably done before. What I like about it is how accessible it is. No equipment. No monthly fees. You can do it in your living room, outside in the park or anywhere you have a bit of space. So I decided to take a closer look at how calisthenics can actually help with fat loss, how hard you…

In May, Chichester District Council refused the application to place rows of panels on two parcels of land next to Lime Kiln Barn, in Runcton Lane. Applicant BNRG Langmead Ltd appealed and a hearing is being held at North Mundham Village Hall. While the council’s planning officers had recommended the plans be approved, most of the committee voted to refuse. Their grounds for doing so included the loss of around 36 hectares of best quality agricultural land – even if only for a period of 40 years – and the impact on the landscape and rural character of the area.…

Still, given the level of spending on AI, it still needs a viable business model beyond subscriptions, which won’t be able to drive profits from billions of people’s eyeballs like the ad-driven businesses that have defined the last 20 years of the internet. Even the largest tech companies know they need to ship the world-changing agents they keep hyping: AI that can fully replace coworkers and complete tasks in the real world. For now, investors are mostly buying into the hype of the powerful AI systems that these data center buildouts will supposedly unlock in the future. At some point…

December 14, 2025 I have become quite serious about my skincare, hair, and beauty routines in 2025. I invested in a few new gadgets and tried new formulas and brands in an attempt to see if I can sloowwww the aging process. Don’t get me wrong, I feel so grateful that I have the opportunity to age. I don’t take it for granted when I am able to celebrate another holiday or the next birthday – growing older is a blessing. I am not unrealistic when it comes to how I look at 40, and I hope to take care…
