Network Rail has announced that services along routes such as Glasgow Central to Edinburgh via Shotts and Glasgow Central to Neilston are experiencing disruptions due to heavier rainfall than anticipated. Trains are operating at reduced speeds until 5 pm today (April 9). The Aberdeen to Inverness services in the north of Scotland are also affected. In a statement on social media, a Network Rail spokesperson mentioned that these speed restrictions are causing extended journey times.
