On December 3 a teenager stole £8,142 worth of iPhones from the Apple store in The Glades shopping centre in Bromley.   The culprit was identified as 19-year-old Avram Stoica, of Pretoria Road in Romford.  Stoica pleaded guilty to theft from a shop in May and was remanded on bail until sentencing with instructions not to enter The Glades and to sleep each night at his home address.    On Wednesday (August 7), he appeared at Bexley Magistrates’ Court where he was given a four-month prison sentence.  District Judge Karen Hammond reasoned that the offence was so serious that only…

Sussex Police have contradicted a previous statement in which they said no arrests were made at the huge counter-protest which took place in Queens Road, Brighton, last night. Officers pulled a man from the 2,000-strong counter-protesting crowd and placed him in handcuffs as pictured above, before searching him.
