East Sussex Fire and Rescue attended the Royal Sussex County Hospital on Eastern Road yesterday afternoon, following reports of smoke.
This was found to be a false alarm with smoke coming from a chimney.

Fire crews received further reports this morning.

East Sussex Fire and Rescue took to social media to reassure the public.
It confirmed that the scene had been checked and there was not a fire.
It advised that smoke may continue to be seen at the building.
