Neos flight NO4925 took off from Tenerife South Airport bound for Akureyri International Airport on Thursday.
FlightRadar24 reported that the plane aborted two landing attempts at Akureyri before diverting to the UK.

The flight crew made the decision to divert to Glasgow, over 800 miles from their intended destination.
Prior to landing in Glasgow at around 10pm on Thursday, FlightRadar24 reported that the plane had been airborne for over seven-and-a-half hours.
The average flight time between Tenerife and Iceland is around five-and-a-half hours.
FlightRadar24 data indicates that the plane is now scheduled to depart Glasgow Airport at 8pm on Friday bound for Akureyri.

Two weeks ago, a Jet2 passenger flight from Glasgow was forced into an emergency landing at London Stansted Airport after a fault was found.
Passengers onboard the 7.07am flight from Glasgow to Rome on Monday morning were diverted as a result of a “minor fault indication” that emerged mid-flight, the airline said.
The flight turned around above Paris before diverting to London Stansted Airport, where it landed safely.
