A woman has died while another is fighting for her life in hospital after a car crashed into a tree.
Police and paramedics were called to the A20, Barrow Hill, in Sellindge at about 8.40pm yesterday following the collision near the junction of Meadow Grove.
The driver of the yellow Mini Cooper, a 44-year-old woman, was airlifted to a London hospital, where she remains in a life-threatening condition.
The passenger, a 46-year-old woman, died at the scene. Her next of kin has been informed.
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for anyone who may have seen the collision or the moments leading up to it to get in touch.
