Police are appealing for information following the incident on June 9, at around 6pm, at Wickes in Downs Way, Littlehampton.
Police said two men were reportedly approached by a member of staff, who was threatened with violence before the men left the store.
Officers would like to speak to two men pictured above as part of their investigation.
Anyone who recognises the men, witnessed the incident, or who has relevant information such as CCTV or mobile footage is encouraged to come forward.
