The annual loyalist procession is organised by the Orange Order, a Protestant fraternal organisation founded in Ireland in 1795. Its primary purpose is to commemorate the 1690 Battle of the Boyne.
Earlier in the day, smaller parades set off from districts across Glasgow, including Bridgeton, Easterhouse, Govan, Ibrox, Maryhill, Milton, Parkhead, Partick, Pollokshaws, Possilpark, Shettleston, Springburn, Thornliebank, Tollcross and Whiteinch.
The groups later assembled into four larger processions in North Glasgow, Southside, East End and the West End of the city before joining together at Jamaica Street and Broomielaw to form one main parade to Glasgow Green.
Police have now confirmed that two people were arrested and three others were issued with fixed penalty notices.
A 31-year-old woman was arrested in connection with alleged acts of disorder during the parade and will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
A 21-year-old man, who was not connected with the parade, was arrested in connection with allegedly obstructing police officers and on an outstanding warrant.
Two men were issued with fixed penalty notices for assault, while a woman received a fixed penalty notice for disorder.
