The incident occurred around 11.50pm on July 4, when the Loch Lomond Rescue Boat (LLRB) was called to assist in a multi-agency operation.
The operation involved Police Scotland, the Scottish Ambulance Service and Coastguard Rescue Helicopter R199, who responded to reports of a man falling from a dinghy near Rowardennan.
Emergency teams began to search the area immediately, and only the inner floor of the dinghy was found.
However, after speaking with police officers and members of the public camping nearby, it was reported that the man had managed to climb back into his dinghy and was seen heading south.
Despite this, the search continued due to concerns for his welfare.
The crew used searchlights and night vision to cover the shoreline and water.
After an extended search, a man was found by Helicopter R199 attracting attention near Ross Isles.
He was discovered taking shelter under the dinghy alongside his dog.
Following a brief assessment, both the man, his dog and the vessel were safely transported aboard the lifeboat.
They were then handed over to emergency crews in Rowardennan.
The LLRB crew was stood down and returned to base at 2.55am.
