Caroline Lucas and Zack Polanski joined the campaign for Green candidate Nadia Barton Ahmad, who is running in the Goldsmid by-election on June 25.
The by-election was triggered by Jackie O’Quinn’s resignation from Brighton and City Council last month.
Barton Ahmad, 22, is a community campaigner and chair of Friends of Dyke Road Park.
Caroline Lucas visited Goldsmid on Tuesday, June 16, with Zack Polanski joining the campaign on Wednesday, June 17.

The Green Party is aiming to secure its 11th councillor seat in Brighton and Hove, and moving forward, the party is preparing to vie for majority control of the Brighton and Hove City Council.
The six candidates are Louis Bird (Conservative), Nadia Barton Ahmad (Green), Philip Berman (Labour), Kim Leyland-Walker (Liberal Democrat), Luke Willmoth (Reform UK) and Glenn Kelly (Trade Union and Socialist Coalition).
The results of the by-election are due to be announced on June 26.
