The car became engulfed in flames in a car park near Devil’s Dyke, just north of Brighton and Hove.
A passer-by captured dramatic images and video footage of the raging blaze at around 5.45pm yesterday, on Easter Sunday.

The vehicle involved in the fire appeared to a red Mazda MX5.
The passer-by who took the video said that there didn’t appear to be anyone in the vehicle.
They said: “Nobody was in the car, and I didn’t see anyone with injuries.
“The wind was strong so the fire grew intense quickly. I wasn’t there to see any emergency services turn up.”
It is not yet known whether any people were injured, or what the cause of the fire was.
The Argus has contacted Sussex Police for comment. East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service have also been contacted.
According to the DVLA, the car is a 1992 Mazda MX5.
The eye-catching video footage shows large plumes of black smoke coming off the the car, as rampant flames tear through the vehicle.
