Ambulance crews rushed to the aid of a passenger onboard a Glasgow to Port Glasgow train around 8.30pm tonight, April 1, 2026.
Services on the line were disrupted while the medics attended to the stricken traveller.

The ill passenger was taken into the care of the paramedics, and services hope to resume shortly.
A ScotRail spokesperson said: “We’re assisting the emergency services who are dealing with an ill passenger on one of our services at Port Glasgow.
“Train services between Glasgow and Port Glasgow are currently being disrupted.
“The passenger is now in the care of paramedics and services will be resuming shortly.
“Disruption can be expected until we can get our crews and trains back into position.”
