    The Weegie Roll Shop, on Duke Street, shared the sad news on Instagram.

    In an emotional post, the venue stated: “This isn’t an easy post to write.

    “After a lot of thought and with a heavy heart, we hate to tell you all that we are closing the Weegie Roll Shop for the last time on Friday, March 20.

    “We want to thank each and every one of our loyal customers for your continued support over the last five years, we will miss all your rants, debates and jokes.

    “Well, some of them…

    “We wholeheartedly wish yous all the best.”

    The message went on to say that they will welcome customers until 2.30pm on their last day.

    Regulars were devastated to learn about the closue as one person said: “Five years is a great achievement bringing a community together.

    “Good luck everyone, as you move onto a new chapter.”

    Another added: “Our little home.

    “Full of love and memories to last a lifetime. Thank you, Sarah, Stu and Judy.”
