Firefighters were called to the blaze on Victoria Hill Road at around 3pm yesterday (March 14).
Paramedics treated two people for smoke inhalation and their condition is not yet known.
The fire is thought to have been caused by a charging lithium-ion battery.
The fire had been extinguished by 4pm.
A Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a house fire in Victoria Hill Road in Swanley.
“Two fire engines attended and crews, wearing breathing apparatus, used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames.
“Two people were handed into the care of SECAmb paramedics, suffering the effects of smoke inhalation.
“The cause is believed to be from a lithium-ion battery on charge.”
