Welling United boosted their Isthmian Premier survival hopes with a key victory at relegation rivals Potters Bar.

Lekan Majoyegbe and Sam Smith gave the Wings a two-goal lead in a bottom-four scrap but the hosts hit back through Damaray Anyadike and Brandon Adams.

It was Welling’s day, however, as Jamie Reynolds scored an 83rd-minute winner, moments after the hosts had levelled.

All the goals came in the first half as Chatham Town consolidated fourth spot with a 3-0 home win over bottom side Canvey Island.

Nile Ranger and Matt Macarthur struck in quick succession to put the hosts in charge, and ex-Newcastle man Ranger added his second shortly before the break.

Chatham have opened up a five-point cushion in the race for a play-off spot after sixth-placed Dartford drew 2-2 at leaders Folkestone.

Ramsgate’s slim hopes of a top-five finish are all but over after a 4-2 home defeat by Burgess Hill in a battle of last season’s promoted sides.

Rams were caught cold by a first-minute opener from ex-Gillingham winger Chris Whelpdale and George Vorster made it two before Rolando Onu replied.

Kaan Bennett and Vorster’s second moved the visitors clear, with Greg Cundle scoring an injury-time consolation.

Eight-placed Cray Wanderers won 3-0 at Whitehawk thanks to goals from Alex Hernandez, Ola Ogunwamide and Max Fiddes.

Cray Valley remain a point from safety after losing 1-0 at Wingate & Finchley.

Kent’s trio of Isthmian South East play-offs contenders all lost.

Sittingbourne were beaten by an Alfie Rogers double – including a second-half penalty – in a 2-0 defeat at Eastbourne Town.

Faversham, in sixth, were edged 2-1 at second-placed AFC Croydon Athletic, Harrison Pont pulling a goal back after first-half efforts from Stanley Oldfield and Reece Grant.

And Deal Town stay seventh after losing 3-1 at AFC Whyteleafe, Owen Wilkinson scoring a stoppage-time consolation for the Hoops.

Jordan Johnson gave Leafe a half-time lead, with ex-Dover man Moses Emmanuel and Ryan Gondoh’s penalty taking the game away from Deal.

Ollie Bate scored a hat-trick as Ashford United bounced back from their midweek defeat at Crowborough by thumping Broadbridge Heath 6-1.

Bate’s early opener was cancelled out by Luke Bejashvili but Harrison Hume restored the lead before half-time.

Bate struck either side of Hume’s second to complete his treble and substitute Noah Carney added an injury-time sixth.

Kane Haysman scored the only goal inside the final 20 minutes to give Margate a 1-0 win at Hastings.

Herne Bay beat relegated East Grinstead 4-1 in their first game since sacking player-boss Liam Friend.

Bay trailed inside two minutes but were soon 2-1 up courtesy of Joe Tyrie and Johan-Caney Bryan.

Zaid Al-Hussaini extended the lead after half-time and Rushaar Samuel-Smikle made it four.

Sevenoaks conceded an injury-time winner in a 2-1 defeat at leaders Three Bridges.

Jefferson Aibangbee’s 83rd-minute spot-kick looked set to earn a point for the visitors, having trailed to an early Hayden Velvick effort.

But Reece Hallard won it for Bridges in the fifth minute of added time.

VCD thrashed Sheppey 6-2 to boost their hopes of avoiding the drop.

The Vickers trailed to a Dami Olorunnisomo goal but Reece Deakin, Harry Lawrence, Cameron Andrews, Ben Fitchett (2) and Alfie Evans moved them to within six points of safety.

Kieron Agbebi scored a late second for the Ites.
