A cafe owner says the business will reopen as usual – despite the roof being torn off during stormy weather last night.
Pictures show the Viking Ship Cafe in Cliffsend, Ramsgate, looking battered and bruised following strong winds on Thursday evening.

The felt covering was blown off the wooden decking and left in pieces around the cafe’s grounds.
Fortunately, the cafe is a seasonal business and was not due to open until the end of March.
Boss Hannah Green confirmed to KentOnline that it is still set to start trading from March 30, despite the setback.
“It’s not taken like the whole roof off, everything inside is okay, so we’ll be opening as planned”, she said.
“But obviously, we’ve just got to get the roof permanently fixed.

“We’ll get it done, and it’ll be business as usual – please keep supporting our small business.”
Nobody was hurt during the incident, which is not expected to be too costly for the Viking Ship.
It is a popular location which overlooks Pegwell Bay and Cliffsend Cove.
Gales reached up to 50 miles per hour last night, with many smaller roads being blocked by fallen trees.
