The Crown & Anchor, in Park Road, has been recognised as part of the Bromley and Biggin Hill’s Favourite Pub Competition 2026.
A total of 36 pubs in the Bromley and Biggin Hill constituency were up for the award – created by MP Peter Fortune to showcase the area’s boozers – with 23 of these voted for by residents.
The Crown & Anchor said winning the competition “means the world” because it was decided by the people of Bromley.
In a Facebook post, the pub said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to announce that Crown & Anchor Bromley has officially been voted best pub in Bromley in the Bromley’s Favourite Pub Competition 2026!
“A huge thank you to everyone who voted for us — this award means the world because it was chosen by you, the people of Bromley.
“The award was proudly presented by Peter Fortune MP, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the incredible support from our amazing customers, staff, friends and local community.
“This win belongs to all of you who make the Crown & Anchor such a special place — whether you join us for a quiet pint, great food, or a catch-up with friends.”
Mr Fortune visited the Crown and Anchor on February 28 to present the award to pub landlord Martin Lloyd and the team.
He said: “I want to thank everyone who took the time to vote for their local, our pubs in Bromley and Biggin Hill are hugely important to the local community, it is hugely important that we celebrate them and all they contribute.
“I want to congratulate Martin and the whole team at the Crown and Anchor on their win, it is richly deserved.
“The Crown and Anchor embodies what a pub should be, putting community first.
“I was delighted to be able to present the award over to Martin and of course I had to have a pint to celebrate with them too.”
