Firefighters called to marina in Brighton to tackle boat fire - UK Daily: Tech, Science, Business & Lifestyle News Updates



Firefighters were called to Brighton Marina at 3.54 this morning to tackle the boat fire at the West Jetty Marina in Brighton.

Four appliances attended while people were asked to avoid the area and nearby residents to keep doors and windows closed while firefighters worked to get the situation under control.

Crews left the scene shortly after 7am.

A spokesman for East Sussex Fire and Rescue said: “Crews have now left the scene of the boat fire at Brighton marina. The stop message came in at 6.11 this morning. The incident has now been handed over to marina staff. The cause of the fire was accidental.”
