A woman was taken into police custody after Rihanna and A$AP Rocky‘s Beverly Hills, California, home became the target of a shooting on Sunday, March 8. Though the “Disturbia” artist was home when the incident took place, she was not injured, according to The Los Angeles Times.
The publication reported on Monday, March 9, that the suspect fired 10 rounds at Rihanna’s residence from a white Tesla across the street on March 8. The vehicle fled the scene on Coldwater Canyon Drive, according to the dispatch audio obtained by the Times. A rep from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) confirmed that the shooting is “an active LAPD Robbery Homicide Division investigation.”
At the time of publication, neither Rihanna nor A$AP Rocky has publicly commented on the situation.

Who Is the Suspect Behind the Rihanna Home Shooting?
The suspect’s name was not immediately announced, but according to Fox11 Los Angeles, her name is Ivanna Lisette Ortiz. The Los Angeles Times originally reported that the person taken into custody was a 35-year-old female from Florida. Her hair was styled in braids, she was wearing a cream-colored blouse and her car was “dirty on the bottom,” per the publication. Police in a helicopter spotted her vehicle and followed it to a Sherman Oaks, California, shopping center parking lot. They arrested her there.
“When they pulled the suspect over and took her into custody, they searched the vehicle and located an assault rifle and seven casings,” Armen Arias, an LAPD spokesperson, told the Times.
It’s unclear if the suspect has any connection to Rihanna or A$AP Rocky.
