Whether you fancy a night of country music, a tense Cold War drama or a classic whodunit brought to life on stage, there’s plenty to look forward to over the coming months.
We’ve rounded up some of the biggest productions coming to Bromley’s Churchill Theatre this spring:
The Ballad of Johnny & June
When? March 2 – March 7

Following its sell-out US run, this brand-new touring musical tells the extraordinary love story between country music legends Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash.
American musical theatre star Christopher Ryan Grant reprises his role as Johnny Cash, while two-time Drama Desk Award nominee Christina Bianco takes on the role of June Carter Cash.
Directed by two-time Tony Award winner Des McAnuff, the show follows the pair’s relationship through their highs and lows, told through the eyes of their son, John Carter Cash.
The production features more than 30 of the couple’s songs, including I Walk the Line, Ring of Fire, Jackson and Folsom Prison Blues.
The Spy Who Came In From The Cold

Based on the classic Cold War novel by John le Carré, this gripping thriller makes its way to the stage for the very first time.
Ralf Little stars as Alec Leamas, a weary British intelligence officer who is persuaded to undertake one last dangerous mission against the East German Secret Service.
But when he meets the quietly defiant librarian Liz Gold, the line between loyalty and betrayal begins to blur.
The stage adaptation, written by David Eldridge and directed by Jeremy Herrin, comes to Bromley after a sold-out run at Chichester Festival Theatre and a hit West End premiere at Soho Place.
Double Indemnity
When? April 21 – April 25
Tickets start from: £25
This gadaptation, written by Tom Holloway and directed by Oscar Toeman, tells the story of salesman Walter Huff, who becomes entangled with the mysterious and alluring Phyllis Nirdlinger.
The production stars Hollywood actor Mischa Barton.
Midsomer Murders: The Killings at Badger’s Drift
When? May 12 – May 16
Tickets start from: £22
Fans of the long-running ITV series Midsomer Murders can see the detective story brought to life on stage for the first time.
Actor Daniel Casey, who originally played Sergeant Troy in the TV series, returns to the franchise as Inspector Tom Barnaby, alongside James Bradwell as Sergeant Gavin Troy.
The story begins when much-loved village resident Emily Simpson is found dead in the idyllic village of Badger’s Drift. When her friend refuses to believe it was an accident, Barnaby and Troy are called in to investigate.
As they dig deeper, they uncover a web of hidden passions, rivalries and secrets among the seemingly peaceful villagers in this classic whodunit.
