Police manhunt after suspected acid attack at Crawley Station - UK Daily: Tech, Science, Business & Lifestyle News Updates



An unknown substance was thrown at a man at Crawley Station on Saturday night, British Transport Police said.

Emergency services were called to the railway station just after 11.20pm and a man in his 30s was taken to hospital.

Police forensic investigators were at the scene until the early hours of Sunday morning.

A spokesman for British Transport Police said they were called following reports of a substance being thrown at a man.

“Officers were called to Crawley railway station just after 11.20pm last night (March 7) to reports of a substance being thrown at a man in his thirties,” the spokesman said.

“The man was taken to hospital to receive medical treatment.

“Officers are keen to speak to any witnesses who might have seen this incident or may have information.”

Witnesses are asked to text 61016 or call 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 851 of March 7.
