Online travel agent, loveholidays, has emailed a customer travelling to Turkey from Glasgow later this month.
They’ve shared the correspondence with the Glasgow Times, which addresses “concerns” holidaymakers may have right now.
An email to customers travelling to the region later this month with loveholidays reads: “We understand you may feel concerned about travelling to destinations close to the Middle East following the recent disruption in the area.
“The FCDO/DFA does not currently advise against travel to the specific resorts and areas where your holiday is located, even though it may advise against travel to other parts of the country.
“As a result, flights and holidays are continuing to operate as planned.
“Your safety is always our top priority.
“We are continuing to monitor the situation closely, and we would never operate holidays to destinations where the FCDO/DFA advises against all but essential travel.
“Should the advice change at any point, we will contact you directly.
“If you choose to cancel or amend your booking, our standard cancellation and amendment terms will apply.
“You can view the latest government travel advice on the FCDO or DFA website.”
