The Barrel and Horn will shut for the final time on Saturday, April 4, the pub’s general manager has confirmed.
The venue has been described as a lively social hub with regular events and a strong sense of community, London Now reports, where further details of the closure can be read.
In a heartfelt message to “loyal customers, visitors and friends”, general manager Craig Hollingsbee expressed sadness at the news, stating that the team has “loved serving the people of Bromley“.
He described the pub as a place for “making memories, starting stories, and giving you a space to come for all occasions”.
Mr Hollingsbee went on to reflect on their time of service, noting that the pub has seen “so many faces come and go”, made new friends, learned a lot, laughed, and celebrated.
He added that the team is “proud to have been part of this community” and would “cherish each day” spent at the venue.
Despite the sad news, the Barrel and Horn intends to make the most of its remaining weeks.
Mr Hollingsbee said, “The Barrel and Horn has never been a venue to hide in the background and we don’t plan to start now”.
The establishment remains committed to being a “safe, welcoming, and warm venue” up until its final day.
It has planned a full programme of events for its last few weeks.
Live music will continue every Friday night, the much-loved Thursday open mic will remain, and the Monday night quiz and Sunday kids’ table will persist throughout March.
The pub is also bringing back requested charity events such as the “Mega Music Quiz” and a pool tournament, all culminating in a “Big Blow Out” closing party on Saturday, April 4.
Mr Hollingsbee paid tribute to the customers who have kept the venue alive.
“A pub is nothing without its customers,” he wrote, expressing gratitude for the patrons who have spent time at the Barrel and Horn, bringing celebrations and experiences, and “giving this place life”.

He also encouraged locals to enjoy the remaining few weeks, urging them to “show some love for the team, have a fun time and raise one more glass for Barrel and Horn”.
The end of the Barrel and Horn will be a significant loss for Bromley’s nightlife and music scene.
The venue has been a staple for pub-goers, combining traditional offerings with a busy live music calendar.
Its closure will undoubtedly be felt by regular patrons and visiting performers alike.
