Amitours, an alpine travel ecosystem serving around 250,000 customers annually and generating €19.5 million in revenue, has launched MyPeak.finance, a financing platform designed to provide growth capital to winter travel businesses in the Alps. The new platform is to solve the timing problem traditional financing models fail to address.
The initiative focuses on a structural issue within the region’s tourism economy: seasonal operators often need capital months before winter demand peaks, yet traditional financing rarely matches this timeline.
A growing winter tourism market with structural funding gaps
Europe’s winter tourism market continues to expand and is projected to reach $383.9 billion by 2035, underpinned by alpine infrastructure upgrades and digital booking adoption.
Despite this growth, many Alpine travel operators struggle to secure financing that fits their seasonal business models. Traditional bank offers are often inflexible and poorly aligned with their cyclical business models where capital is required months before peak demand materializes.
At the same time, Europe lacks alternative financing platforms focused on travel businesses.
Built Around the Realities of Alpine Seasonality
MyPeak.finance was designed with Alpine mobility and winter travel infrastructure operational cycles in mind. The founding team brings more than 16 years of experience in the Alps, combining knowledge of tourism logistics, financial technology, and the economics of seasonal infrastructure.
“For Alpine businesses, the problem was never the absence of capital itself,” said Rihards Sakovics, co-founder and CEO of MyPeak.finance. “The problem is access to capital that arrives at the right moment and is structured around real seasonal cycles.”
A Financing Platform Tied To Real Operational Assets
The platform provides fixed-term financing for clearly defined growth initiatives. Initially it will support companies within the Amitours ecosystem, with Alps2Alps, the group’s Alpine transfer service, acting as the primary user.
Funding is supplied by a closed community of private lenders who receive fixed returns. Unlike traditional business lending, each opportunity is tied to specific revenue-generating assets — including vehicles, equipment, property, or technology infrastructure. Early projects, for instance, focus on alpine vehicle park expansion and booking engine dynamic pricing development.
By linking financing directly to operational assets, the platform aims to make capital deployment more transparent and measurable.
From Internal Financing Tool to Broader Travel Infrastructure Platform
Currently, MyPeak.finance provides access to private capital for Amitours holding and affiliated companies across the European Economic Area.
In the longer term, the company aims to expand the platform beyond its own ecosystem and replace fragmented seasonal financing with a more transparent capital infrastructure tailored to the needs of Alpine travel businesses.
