Released killer
Fauz Richards (Image: Met Police)
Released killer Fauz Richards was sent back to prison after he punched a woman in the face at a drug-fuelled party in Beckenham.
Richards was jailed for 13 years in 2017 for the manslaughter of 17-year-old Myron Yarde.
Myron, a young rapper known as Mdot, died after Richards stabbed him four times in the leg in New Cross as “punishment” in a dispute over a bicycle.
Last February, after a parole board released Richards on licence, he attended an MDMA-fuelled party in Beckenham where in a fit of anger he punched a woman in the face causing serious injuries.
Richards, now 28, has since been recalled to prison to continue to serve his manslaughter sentence until at least 2029 or 2030.
At Snaresbrook Crown Court he was sentenced to one-and-a-half years in prison for the assault.

Samurai sword incident
Jan Dziedzic (Image: Met Police)
Jan Dziedzic caused “mayhem” after he got drunk on brandy whilst making a Christmas cake at his flat in Clydesdale Way, Belvedere, on November 11 last year.
The 36-year-old said he had no memory of the night, but footage showed him covered in blood and repeatedly banging on his neighbour’s door whilst waving a long samurai sword.
The Japanese culture enthusiast was jailed for one year after he pleaded guilty to affray, criminal damage and possessing a bladed article in public.
Judge Ruth Downing said she was “troubled” enough by Dziedzic’s behaviour that she felt she had no choice but to send him to prison.
The court heard that Dziedzic and his neighbour were on no more than “speaking terms” when he turned up at her door armed with a weapon.
“You were covered in blood and no doubt to your neighbours, decent human beings, this was an alarming sight,” Judge Downing said.
“Your neighbour suffered genuine distress. Why should she have to go through that?”

Teacher who groomed child
Gary Vigar (Image: Newsquest)
Former teacher Gary Vigar has been jailed for the sexual abuse of a child.
Vigar was employed at Oaks Park High School in Carshalton in 2020 when he groomed a girl into sexual activity.
The 34-year-old initially denied any wrongdoing but on the second day of his trial he pleaded guilty to charges including sexual assault and inciting a child into sexual activity.
Croydon Crown Court heard that Vigar groomed the child over several months as they exchanged more than 2,000 messages online before going on to commit offences in person.
The victim later told police: “I was scared that if I didn’t do something he asked… Don’t get me wrong, at the start I was taking part and was asking for it, but towards the end I didn’t really want it.
“He said he wanted to take my virginity, he always asked me to go to his house and I kept saying no.”
In a statement read at the sentencing hearing, the victim said: “Words don’t feel adequate to explain and describe the effect this abuse has had on me.”
She said she had spent many years of her life just trying to survive.
“I don’t want another innocent young person to live through that nightmare,” she said.
Vigar was jailed for five years and seven months.

Deptford murderer
Jackson Uwagboe (Image: Met Police)
Jackson Uwagboe, 19, from Hamilton Street in Lewisham, murdered a 21-year-old man in Deptford in a dispute over a stolen bike.
Uwagboe was found guilty of murdering Robert Robinson in Carteret Way.
He received a life sentence at the Old Bailey where he must serve 21 years behind bars before being eligible for release.
Police were called at about 10.35pm on June 6, 2024, to Carteret Way, however, Robert was pronounced dead at the scene.
He had suffered 12 serious stab wounds, including defensive injuries.
Earlier that day, Uwagboe had robbed a 17-year-old of his bicycle and phone on Deptford High Street.
Robert was part of a group that went to the home of Uwagboe’s associate, Ryan Wedderburn in Windlass Place, Lewisham, hoping to recover the stolen bike.
When the group received no answer at the flat, they left.
Some members of the group then allegedly damaged two cars belonging to the Wedderburn family.
Shortly afterwards, Uwagboe left the flat with Wedderburn and Kirk Harris.
All three were carrying machetes.
They walked to nearby Carteret Way, where Robert, one of his friends, and their mother spotted the group and tried to flee.
The mother was on the phone to 999 at the time, reporting the earlier robbery.
Robert was chased, overpowered, and fatally stabbed.
Wedderburn, 18, and Harris, 19, of Upper Brockley Road, were convicted of Robert’s murder at the Old Bailey last year and are serving life sentences.
Eromosele Omoluogbe, 24, from Tanners Hill in Lewisham, was convicted of perverting the course of justice.
He had booked Uwagboe a flight to Nigeria and driven him to Heathrow Airport in an attempt to help him evade arrest.

Paedophile police trainee
Oscar Devlin (Image: Met Police)
Oscar Devlin, 25, of Admiral Street in Lewisham, was arrested for grooming a 14-year-old girl into sexual activity, then whilst on bail he coerced an even younger girl into sending him explicit images of herself.
He has now been jailed for two years and seven months.
Devlin was in training to become a police officer and was a volunteer for the St John Ambulance charity when in late 2023 he began grooming a 14-year-old girl.
Prosecutor Hector MacLean-Watt said the pair were seen kissing, cuddling and holding hands, whilst on one occasion the girl was seen sitting on his lap.
Another time the child was found in his bedroom partially clothed, Mr MacLean-Watt said.
After a police investigation was triggered, Devlin was arrested on suspicion of sexual activity with a child and was dismissed from the Met Police.
However, whilst on bail in December 2024 he began communicating with an 11-year-old girl on Snapchat.
Using a fake name and claiming he was younger than he was, Devlin coerced the child into sending him upwards of 40 images of herself including topless photos.
He repeatedly asked her to travel to London to meet him but fortunately the girl’s mum discovered the messages and contacted the police.
Devlin later pleaded guilty to engaging in sexual activity with the 14-year-old girl and engaging in sexual communication with the 11-year-old.
Paedophile attacked parents
Ben Shipton (Image: Met Police)
Ben Shipton, 27, from Eltham, was waiting to find out if he’d be sent to prison for possessing child sexual abuse images when he attacked his dad, who he accused of “being on the court’s side”.
Shipton has now been jailed for two years and one month for the offences.
Shipton came to the attention of the National Crime Agency in November 2023 when he uploaded a child sexual abuse video to a Dropbox account linked to his email address.
He was arrested by the Met Police in a dawn raid in July 2024 and on his devices officers found 475 indecent photos and videos, including videos of depraved acts being carried out on babies and pre-pubescent children.
Shipton pleaded guilty to three charges of possessing indecent images and was released on bail.
Woolwich Crown Court heard that on November 17 the defendant’s dad entered his bedroom to ask if he was feeling well enough to attend court, at which point his son became angry and attacked him whilst shouting “I know what you’re doing, you’re all against me”.
After a 20-minute brawl he armed himself with a butter knife and threatened to kill his parents, before his dad disarmed him.

The victim grabbed Holmes’ collar, causing him to stumble, but Holmes then punched the man in the face, knocking him backwards and causing him to strike his head on the station floor.

Croydon paedophile
Javed Jafarzadeh (Image: West Yorkshire Police)
Javed Jafarzadeh travelled from Croydon to Leeds with plans to sexually abuse a 14-year-old girl.
Jafarzadeh was apprehended by paedophile hunters in 2022 when he arrived at Leeds railway station.
The 33-year-old had made plans to stay at a girl’s home, telling her he would take her virginity.
He was released on bail after his arrest and later moved to Salford. It wasn’t until three years later that he was eventually charged.
This delay eventually worked to Jafarzadeh’s benefit as he received a more lenient sentence of two years in prison at Croydon Crown Court, with the judge obliged to take into consideration the detrimental impact the delay had on the defendant.
Prosecutor Martin Ingle said: “I’m unable to provide any real explanation for the delay. The case was submitted to the Crown Prosecution Service for a charging decision in August last year.”
Domestic abuser
Delroy Powell (Image: Met Police)
Delroy Powell “obliterated” his ex-girlfriend’s lip with a powerful punch then tried to frame it on an XL Bully dog.
Powell, 41, of Field Way in Croydon, was jailed for one year and eight months at Croydon Crown Court.
Prosecutor Vanessa Mistry said that during their brief relationship Powell subjected the victim to regular assaults including slapping her and grabbing her throat, but would apologise profusely afterward.
During an argument on May 18 last year Powell punched the woman so hard that her lip split open.
He then drove her to hospital and stayed with her the entire time so she couldn’t dispute the false explanation he gave to staff.
When he was later arrested he claimed he was in Bristol for a scaffolding job at the time and that the injury had been caused by an XL Bully belonging to the victim’s son which had knocked her down the stairs.
Powell later dropped his lie and pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Killer’s prison attack
Marvin Ward (Image: Met Police)
Marvin Ward was serving a 16-year prison sentence for the manslaughter when he attacked prison officers at HMP Isis in Thamesmead.
The court heard that Ward became hostile towards a female prison officer on December 4, 2024.
After raising his arms and shouting “you lot think I’m a joke” he struck a male officer multiple times then turned on the female officer.
During the attack he was heard to shout “anyone who touches me is getting it”.
Ward was given an extra 23 weeks to serve.
The new sentence will begin as soon as he is eligible to apply for parole, two-thirds of the way through his manslaughter sentence.
Ward was found guilty of killing 18-year-old Hussain outside his family home in Lea Bridge Road, Walthamstow.
Ward and Morris went to the home with the pretext of buying a jacket.
Despite initially appearing willing to pay for the jacket, the pair then threatened Hussain and attempted to flee with the stolen item.

Igor Borges (Image: British Transport Police)
Igor Borges, 29, of Nether Street in Barnet, masturbated on a morning train to London Bridge before following a woman through the carriage.
Borges was jailed for one year and eight months.
The court heard how, at around 9am on September 1 last year, the 29-year-old exposed himself on board a train from London Bridge to West Croydon.
He then started masturbating while staring at a woman sat across the aisle from him – and continued to do so once she looked over and saw him.
When the victim called the police on 999, Borges put his finger to his lips to indicate not to tell anyone.
The sex offender then followed her through the carriage apologising when she attempted to find another seat.
The victim told other passengers what happened as she walked through the train, and they were then able to intervene and stop Borges following her.
He left the train at West Croydon and British Transport Police (BTP) detectives launched an investigation to track him down.
