The Pride Community Foundation has teamed up with bobu to offer bobuEssentials safety training to all Pride City Angels members.
The scheme is designed to promote inclusion and care within the community, supporting staff in hospitality, retail and other public-facing roles.
Leslie Clarke, CEO of Pride Community Foundation, said: “Pride City Angels is about more than a sticker in a window.
“It is about trust. Working with bobu helps our members build that trust through shared skills, confidence and care.”
Pride City Angels venues already pledge to welcome LGBTQ+ people and foster safer, more inclusive environments.
The training aims to turn those values into daily practice by giving staff the knowledge to handle potentially unsafe or uncomfortable situations.
The bobuEssentials programme focuses on early risk identification, confident responses, and clear support for individuals in need.
Nicholas Cousin, co-founder of bobu, said: “Safety works best when it is visible, practical, and shared.
