The Mitre Tavern, at 13 Baker Street, reopened last night with a lively relaunch.
The pub has had a dashing makeover since being taken over by Good Times Pubs and Bars.
Good Times Pubs and Bars run a number of favourite venues around the city, including The Poets Ale & Smokehouse and The Stirling Arms in Hove, and The Basketmakers Arms in Brighton.

The company recently took over the management of two Harvey’s Brewery pubs in Brighton – The Mitre Tavern and the Constant Service, in Hanover.
Both pubs have been closed for renovations since coming under the wing of Good Times.
The Mitre Tavern officially reopened under its new management with a bustling and high-spirited party last night.
This reporter was on the scene to see what Good Times have done with the place, and was thoroughly impressed by both the refurb and the bar snacks.
The new décor adds a fun contemporary twist but without falling into the trap of soulless modern mediocrity that often snares attempts to freshen up traditional boozers.
Clean, welcoming, homely, a sprinkling of the new, but still very much The Mitre Tavern.

Perhaps the greatest innovation is the edition of a mini-deli, a glass cabinet at the end of the bar stacked with sandwiches and pastries made fresh in-house.
This reporter gorged on a delicious black pudding scotch egg, a pork and thyme sausage roll absolutely stuffed with meat, and an onion bhaji sandwich with coconut mayo.
The term ‘bar snacks’ does not do these delicacies justice.
There was a good mix of punters too – young and old and everything in between, all having a great time together in a longstanding pub which has had new life breathed into it.
And, of course, there was a lovely selection of Harvey’s finest brews.
Bring on the reopening of the Constant Service next Friday.
