Bromley Council confirmed that across the borough, there will be no increase in charges in 2026.
The decision was announced by Councillor Nicholas Bennett, executive councillor for transport, highways, and road safety.
Cllr Bennett said: “Despite the tough financial challenges the council faces because of low government grants, because the council continues to be extremely prudent, we are maintaining Bromley’s record of keeping car parking charges probably the lowest in London and there will be no increase this year.
“Not only can you pay for periods of less than an hour on street, unlike other councils we don’t penalise drivers by engine size or fuel.
“We recognise that for many residents the car is essential and by freezing charges we aren’t adding to the cost of living rises families are facing.”
The freeze applies to council-run parking facilities across the borough, meaning drivers will continue to pay the same rates for on-street parking and council car parks.
Parking charges in Bromley vary depending on location and length of stay, with short-stay options available in many areas.
Drivers are encouraged to check local signage for details of restrictions and payment options.
