Babble, at Hove Beach Park, in Kingsway, Hove, is among those shortlisted in the Publican Awards.
The restaurant has been shortlisted in the ‘best new site’ category, which celebrates venues which opened in the past 24 months.
Other restaurants in the category include venues in London, Didcot and Oxford.
In a social media post, the site’s general manager, Dariush, celebrated the news.
He said: “I’m here to say how super proud I am, and we all are, that we’ve been nominated for best new site in the Publican Awards.”
Babble opened in May last year, as part of the broader Hove Beach Park development – a £13.7 million project funded by the government’s Levelling Up Fund.
The restaurant, which sits on top of the outdoor sports hub, offers a range of food and drink including a breakfast and lunch menu. It also offers a Sunday roast and a barbecue on sunny days and warm weekends.
Winners will be announced at an award ceremony in March, presented by TV star Rylan.
The event looks to celebrate a range of top-performing operators and rising venues across the country.
