The popular matchday offerings will be available as Albion face Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

And they are expected to sell quickly as fans enjoy their favourite football fare and support a local company whose future has been plunged into doubt.

The hope is a show of popularity of their pies and sausage rolls and Sold Out boards on the shelves will be a timely boost in the quest to find a buyer for the company.

The Piglet’s Pantry offerings have become a popular part of the Amex experience for many supporters since the stadium opened in 2011.

Portsmouth reported this week that the Worthing bakery had appointed insolvency practitioners.

Developments revealed by Pompey came as a huge surprise to supporters.

Piglet’s Pantry famously agreed to hand-craft 2,500 pies for each game at the new stadium as Albion moved in almost 15 years ago but, at the first match, they had all been eaten within 15 minutes of opening.

Their order was quickly increased to 10,000.

That was the start of what is widely considered a success story of the Amex era.

Piglet’s Pantry now employ about 70 members of staff.

The company have also worked with other football clubs including Chelsea, Leicester City and Swansea.

This week’s statement from Portsmouth followed postponement of a match against Ipswich Town.

Pompey said they were “deeply concerned” about the situation and had invited Piglet’s Pantry staff to work at Fratton Park.
