A series of maintenance works will take place at the Dartford Crossing between Friday, February 6 and Monday, February 9, affecting both its tunnels and the QEII Bridge.
The Dartford Crossing connects Kent with Essex and serves as a vital transport link for motorists across the South East.
The following closures will be in place:
• Friday, February 6, from 9pm to 5.30am: The northbound West Tunnel will be closed, along with the Junction 1A entry slip road.
• Saturday, February 7, from 10pm to 5am: The northbound West Tunnel and the associated carriageway, as well as the entry slip road, will be closed.
• Sunday, February 8, from 10pm to 5am: The A282 anticlockwise route between Junction 1A and the East Tunnel will be closed for maintenance.
During these closures, traffic will be diverted via alternative National Highways routes.
National Highways has urged drivers to check live traffic updates, follow signed diversion routes, and allow for extra travel time during the maintenance period.
The Dartford Crossing is made up of the QEII Bridge and two tunnels and forms a critical section of the M25 orbital route.
Each day, thousands of vehicles use the crossing to travel between Kent, Essex and the wider South East of England.
These overnight works are part of a broader maintenance programme.
