Brighton & Hove Buses’ Santa Bus delighted neighbourhoods in November and December 2025, spreading Christmas cheer and raising funds for 12 local charities and organisations.
Since the project began, the Santa Bus has now raised a total of £481,070.
Mayor of Brighton & Hove Amanda Grimshaw BEM said: “I’m absolutely delighted that last year’s Santa Bus has raised an incredible £28,070 for local charities, including my Mayor’s Charities.
“This much-loved festive tradition not only brings joy to the streets of Brighton & Hove but also makes a real and measurable difference to the organisations supporting our residents every day.
“I was thrilled to join Santa, the charity teams and our wonderful volunteers, and I’m deeply grateful to everyone who donated.
“Your generosity helps keep our community strong, supported and connected.”
The brightly lit Santa Bus, complete with festive decorations and a waving Father Christmas, travelled through the city to raise money for important causes.
Rupert Cox, interim managing director of Brighton & Hove Buses, said: “We are over the moon with the £28,070 raised through our most recent Santa Bus.
“It’s a testament to the incredible spirit of our communities and the dedication of everyone involved – from volunteers to families who came out each night to wave and donate.
“The Santa Bus is one of the highlights of our year, and seeing such a fantastic fundraising total makes it even more special.
“We’re proud to play a part in supporting the brilliant charities who work tirelessly for our city.”
Each charity will receive £2,339 to help fund their work in the community.
The Santa Bus will return next year, continuing its mission to spread joy and support those in need.
