Tomorrow (Wednesday February 4) the organisers will reveal the headliners for Pride on the Park 2026.
From Britney Spears in 2018 to Kylie Minogue in 2019, Christina Aguilera in 2022, Girls Aloud and Mika in 2024 and Mariah Carey in 2025, many big names have graced the pride stage over the years.
We have put together some ideas for stars who could have potential – but who do you think has been chosen for this year’s festival?
- Katy Perry: The I Kissed a Girl singer has been dubbed the “Queen of Camp” in the past for her theatrical fashion, colourful aesthetic and playful persona. The last couple of years have seen her take a trip into space and get together with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, so why not add taking to the stage at Brighton Pride into the mix?
- Lady Gaga: A longstanding and active supporter of LGBTQ rights, Lady Gaga has attributed much of her early success as a mainstream artist to her gay fans and is considered a gay icon. In 2023, Rolling Stone named her 2011 hit Born This Way the Most Inspirational LGBT Song of All Time.
- Sabrina Carpenter: Any of the Powerpuff Girls of Pop (Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan and Charli XCX) would go down a treat at Brighton Pride. This trio have been making major waves over the last few years and all three have a strong LGBTQ fan base. With her cheeky innuendos, sparkly get-ups and flirty demeanour, the Espresso singer has real potential.
- Lily Allen: The Smile singer has seen a renaissance with her tell-all break-up album West End Girl. Known for her unapologetically honest lyrics and playful, sometimes chaotic, energy, we would love to hear Lily asking the Brighton crowd “who’s Madeline?”
- Chappell Roan: Through her bold lyrics, distinctive style, and passionate support for drag culture, the Midwest Princess embodies a new model of queer stardom. With hits like Good Luck Babe and Pink Pony Club, she explores her sexuality and identity in a way that has really struck a chord with listeners.
