The Environment Agency has issued 20 flood alerts in Sussex after heavy rain yesterday, January 27.
Residents are now facing the aftermath of the bad weather, with high river levels causing flooding.
Images show flooding in Barcombe Mills, north of Lewes, where a flood warning is currently in place for the River Ouse.
A car has been caught in the flooding here, along with another vehicle in Alfriston, much of which is also under water.

The Environment Agency said the River Ouse is high but slowly falling. Floodwater is impacting the Anchor Inn and Barcombe Mills properties, Barcombe Mills Road, Fletching Mill Bridge and Sharpsbridge.
The warning states: “Near Barcombe river levels might not return nearer to normal until Friday.
“A small amount of rain is forecast Friday and Saturday.

“More minor flooding could be possible. We are operating structures at Barcombe to reduce flood risk.”
Barcombe Mills Road is currently closed due to flooding between Wellingham Lane and Crink Hill.
There is also a flood warning for Alfriston on the Cuckmere River.

MP for Lewes James MacCleary updated constituents on social media.
He said: “The main affected areas locally are the Cuckmere River, the Ouse at Denton, the Upper Ouse and Stone Cross, though there may be more localised flooding that has not yet been reported.
“My team, alongside local councillors, are in contact with residents in affected areas. Please help by checking in on friends, family and neighbours, particularly those who may be more vulnerable.
