Todd Smith, 45, of Brighton Road, Crawley, admitted breaching a community order by failing to attend planned office appointments on October 28 and November 6, 2025, and by failing to remain in contact with probation services between October 28 and November 10, 2025. The court recorded that there was no adjudication, because the breach was dealt with for the original offence of stealing girls’ clothing from TK Maxx in Crawley on March 11, 2025.
Daniel Joseph Cassar, 31, of Olive Close, Horsham, admitted breaching a community order by failing to attend office appointments on November 13 and November 27, 2025. The court ordered that the unpaid work requirement be extended by 12 months, and varied the order so he must comply with a rehabilitation activity requirement of up to five days, with the original requirements continuing.
Spencer Grover, 22, of Southdowns Park, Haywards Heath, admitted breaching a community order by failing to comply with an alcohol abstinence and electronic monitoring requirement, after consuming alcohol in high-level drinking events on December 6 and December 10, 2025. The order was continued and varied, with the original alcohol abstinence and monitoring requirement and unpaid work requirement to continue, and an additional rehabilitation activity requirement of up to 10 days.
Adrian Penes, 33, of Weatherhill Common, Smallfield, admitted breaching a community order by failing to attend an unpaid work appointment on September 13, 2025, failing to comply with an unpaid work appointment on October 11, 2025, and failing to attend an office appointment on October 22, 2025. The original community order was revoked, having originally been imposed for trespassing a building with intent to steal, in Crawley, on July 9, 2024. A new community order was imposed, ordering that 65 hours of unpaid work must be carried out.
Thomas Abraham Cope, 35, of Grange Close, Horam, pleaded guilty to being the registered keeper of a vehicle which did not meet insurance requirements on October 16, 2024. He was fined £180 and ordered to pay £100 costs and a £72 surcharge, a total of £352.
Kevin Patrick McGovern, 43, of Windrum Close, Horsham, pleaded guilty to keeping a vehicle which was unlicensed on March 28, 2025, in Horsham. He was fined £200 and ordered to pay £258.75 vehicle excise back duty and £85 costs, a total of £543.75.
Sahra Mohamed Abdi, 41, of Iron Mill Road, London, had £12,100 in cash further detained for six months after magistrates granted an application under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002. The cash was seized at Gatwick Airport on January 10, 2026, at 8.35am, after officers said they had reasonable grounds to suspect it was recoverable property obtained through or intended for unlawful conduct.
Amidou Dabo, 46, of Alfred Road, Sutton, was fined £189 after pleading guilty to speeding. The offence took place on the A259 Marine Parade, Brighton, on March 17, 2025, at 5.03am, when he drove a Volkswagen at 40 miles per hour in a 30 miles per hour limit. His driving record was endorsed with three penalty points.
