Firefighters rushed to a commercial property on Scotstoun Street after the alarm was raised at around 4.45pm on Monday, January 19.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed it was alerted to a blaze affecting the ground floor of the building.
Images taken by the Glasgow Times appear to show that the fire took place within a restaurant.
Operations Control initially sent six appliances and a high-reach vehicle to tackle the blaze.
Four appliances remain in attendance.

The fire has since been put out, and it is understood that crews are still on the scene to monitor the situation.
There have been no reported injuries.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 4.45pm on Monday, January 19, 2026, to reports of a building fire on Scotstoun Street, Glasgow
“Operations Control mobilised six fire appliances and specialist resources to the scene, where crews were met with a fire affecting the ground floor of a commercial property.
“Four appliances remain in attendance at the scene. There are no reported casualties.”

During this time police locked down Scotstoun Street at its junction with Fore Street.
Photographs show cordons in place at both ends of the road.
Members of the public have also been advised to “avoid the area”.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Scotstoun Street is closed at Fore Street following a fire which was reported to police at around 5pm on Monday, January 19, 2026.
“Members of the public are asked to avoid the area.”
