A security alert in north Belfast that forced residents from homes has ended after two BB-style guns were found.
Eia Street was closed yesterday afternoon, Monday 19th January, at its junction with Brookhill Avenue, after police received a report that a suspicious object had been discovered in the area.
Ammunition technical officers (ATO) attended the scene and discovered the two BB-style guns which have been taken away for further examination.

In an update on Tuesday morning, the PSNI appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
A spokesperson said: “Shortly after 1pm, police received a report that a suspicious object had been discovered in the area.
“A number of homes were advised to be evacuated as enquiries got underway, and ammunition technical officers attended the scene.
“Two BB style guns were subsequently recovered from the scene, and taken away for further examination. Residents have now been returned to their homes.
“Enquires are ongoing this morning, and officers would appeal to anyone who might have any information which would assist us, to get in touch.
